Description: Basheer Karkabi is my brother-in-law, a cardiologist and social activist who has done much to create a shared future for both people. Like everyone, the events of October 7 and the war in Gaza affected his soul and made him deeply worried about what lies ahead. In the early days of the war, Bashir spoke at a meeting of Jews and Arabs in Haifa. I wanted to commemorate the moment he sat on stage with a distraught expression.
